I had no idea how to eat clean in the beginning of my journey and I felt that I was going to have to give up a lot of my sugary and salty treats. While I did, I have come to love not having something so processed. I don’t have those things literally weighing me down and the weight came off.
I would say that is worth it!
What does it mean to eat clean?
Basically, no processed foods. – They are hard on your body and have been connected to serious health issues. They also can contain a ton of bad ingredients that are hard for your liver to digest and can end up being stored in your body rather than disposed of.
Does this mean you have to be a vegetarian or vegan? – No, Vegetarian and Vegan options are always available though! Just like picking fresh produce to eat more of, you can pick better quality of protein as well to eat cleaner. Lower fat in meat proteins and it coming from a reputable farmer will ensure less or no additives in the protein.
By putting good foods into your body, you will get good out of it. Your body will have more healthy nutrients, more energy, sleeping better, and also maybe even some healthier hair, skin, and nails!
